
It is no longer wise to stay in an organization for 25 years in the hopes of receiving some form of recognition. Corporations without deeply rooted cultural values that are aligned with diversity equity and inclusions tend to drop employees at the drop of a hat. Either make sure you work for a corporation that has an appropriate culture or make movement a part of your strategy. If your employer lacks a culture of appreciation then you should aim to get in and learn and earn as fast as possible and get out into the next big employer. Do this and you will always have a job.
