Social Impact

At General Software

Social Impact in our lexicon means any organization whose mission is to implement solutions and/or provide resources for social issues, such as education, healthcare, poverty, hunger relief, women's rights etc. Our Corporate Citizenship program at General Software includes an Annual Pro-Bono initiative that helps not-for-profit organizations.

We have baked social impact into the very fabric of our core with the development of our Annual Pro-Bono Program. When we look for organizations to support at General Software, we look for ones that have the biggest impact and make the most meaningful ontribution. Our annual Pro-Bono Program is one of our Social Responsibility Initiatives which lays the foundation of our social impact efforts, allowing us to share financial resources with a multitude of non-profit organizations in a sustainable manner throughout the year.

We continue to seek out new opportunities and ways to contribute during the course of the year. We are proud of our burgeoning Pro-Bono Program and will continue to grow and develop it.

The Pro-Bono Program allows any team member to donate their time and talent to a charitable organization of his or her choice. There are many types of donations that we are able to support including, but not limited to:

1. Financial contributions both large and small.

2. Team members attending conferences or other events held by these organizations on their own dime which also includes out of state travel if necessary.

3. Providing donated services for special events or one time projects.

In addition to the different types of contributions above, we expect team members to take on roles as board members and advisors to our non-profit partners. For some team members it's their first experience being part of a non-profit organization which has been both personally and professionally rewarding.

We continue to seek out new opportunities and ways to contribute during the course of the year. We are proud of our burgeoning Pro-Bono Program and will continue to grow and develop it.
